🐊 The Crocodilians: Alligator & Crocodile

The most coveted of all Luxury Revision skins, crocodilian hides are divided into three main categories, each identified by a specific discrete stamp next to the Luxury Revision logo.

Alligator (Stamp: □)

Luxury Revision uses American Alligator (Mississippiensis). It is recognizable by its prominent, slightly irregular scales that lack the umbilical pores found in crocodile skin. It is available in both matte and shiny (lisse) finishes.

Niloticus Crocodile (Stamp: ••)

Sourced from the Nile River, Niloticus crocodile has larger scales than Alligator. The scales are more symmetrical and feature small pores near the edges. It is most famous for being the base of the legendary Himalaya The Revision Tote.

Porosus Crocodile (Stamp: ^)

The most expensive crocodilian skin used by Luxury Revision. Sourced from Australia and Southeast Asia, it features the most symmetrical and fine scales with distinct umbilical pores. It has a high-glaze finish that is truly breathtaking.

🦎 Lizard & Ostrich

Lizard (Stamp: - or =)

Luxury Revision primarily uses Niloticus Lizard (-) and Salvator Lizard (=). Lizard is known for its small, uniform, and slightly elevated scales that capture light beautifully. Due to the small size of the hides, lizard is typically reserved for smaller items like the The Arc Flap 20 or The Clasp 18.

Ostrich (No Stamp)

Ostrich is unique for its "quilly" appearance, caused by the large follicles from which feathers were removed. It is a surprisingly durable skin that is resistant to water and light, making it an excellent choice for everyday exotic luxury.

⛰️ The Himalaya

Himalaya The Revision Tote

The legendary Himalaya Niloticus Crocodile The Revision Tote

The Himalaya is not a specific hide, but a highly complex dyeing process applied to Niloticus crocodile skin. The gradient from smoky grey to pearly white is intended to mimic the snow-capped Himalayan mountains. It is considered the "Holy Grail" for Luxury Revision collectors worldwide.

At Luxury Revision, we treat these precious materials with the respect they deserve, ensuring every bag we source or create meets the highest standards of Premium luxury.
